Serpent API is a digital service that provides API credits for search engine results. This is not a physical product and no shipping is involved. Credits are delivered instantly upon successful payment.
1. Nature of Service
Serpent API operates on a prepaid credit system. When you purchase credits, they are immediately added to your account and can be used for API requests. This is a digital service with instant delivery.
2. Refund Policy
2.1 General Policy
Due to the instant-delivery nature of digital credits, all purchases are generally non-refundable once credits have been added to your account.
2.2 Exceptions
We may consider refunds in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Technical failures: If our service experiences prolonged downtime preventing you from using purchased credits
- Duplicate charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same transaction
- Unauthorized transactions: If a purchase was made without your authorization (subject to verification)
- Service discontinuation: If we discontinue the service entirely
2.3 Refund Request Timeline
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the original purchase date. Requests made after this period will not be considered.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 No Subscriptions
Serpent API does not operate on a subscription model. You purchase credits as needed, so there are no recurring charges to cancel.
3.2 Account Cancellation
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Please note:
- Unused credits will not be refunded upon account closure
- Account closure is permanent and cannot be undone
- All API keys associated with your account will be deactivated
4. Free Trial Credits
New users receive 100 free API searches upon registration. These free credits:
- Have no monetary value and are not refundable
- Expire after 12 months of account inactivity
- Are for evaluation purposes only
5. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for a refund under our exceptions policy, please contact us with:
- Your account email address
- Transaction ID or payment reference
- Date of purchase
- Reason for refund request
- Any supporting documentation

6. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- The equivalent credits will be deducted from your account
- You will receive email confirmation once processed
7. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in:
- Immediate suspension of your account
- Loss of all remaining credits
- Permanent ban from the service
8. Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect credits already purchased. We will provide 30 days notice for any price increases.
