How does billing work?

Serpent API uses a pay-as-you-go credit system. Deposit funds into your account and credits are deducted per API call based on the engine and endpoint used. No subscriptions or recurring charges. Your deposited credits never expire (promotional bonus credits expire 30 days after they're granted — see below).

What's the minimum deposit?

For new users, the minimum to get started is $10. Once your lifetime deposits reach $50, the minimum for any further top-up is $100 — so established accounts add credits in larger blocks. A single $100 deposit unlocks Growth (10× off, forever) and a single $500 deposit unlocks Scale (20× off), so the larger minimum lines up with the tier thresholds.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment partner Dodo Payments. All transactions are SSL encrypted and processed securely.

Do credits expire?

If a search fails due to a server error, your credits are automatically refunded to your account instantly. You only pay for requests that complete successfully.
